PRESS RELEASE:
Recently relocated to Los Angeles after a successful few years in
Denver, CO, singer-songwriter Josh Allan brings his own unique "acoustic
indie pop" to California.
Josh Allan left Colorado on a high note, culminating in his shows
opening for Epic recording artists The Fray -- "Over My Head (Cable
Car)" -- and Mat Kearney (Columbia Records) to capacity crowds at The
Belly Up in Aspen and Club 8150 in Vail.
Josh released his first independent CD "All The Acoustic Pop You Can
Drink" in November 2004, signed on with the national management firm
Big Mountain Productions in the Fall of 2005, and is readying his
second independent CD release, "The Let Go."
Josh Allan's music is characterized by passionate vocals, distinctive
piano melodies, and precise acoustic guitar riffs, citing such
influences as Ben Folds, John Mayer, and Billy Joel. He has performed in
venues from Denver to Detroit to Boston; had his song "Morning Show"
featured on the soundtrack of an Elysian Pictures film; is a regular on
XM Satellite Radio's Unsigned Channel 43, and has been featured in a
variety of Colorado radio interviews and programs. His current single,
"Something About You" is being played on radio, including the syndicated
Colorado Wave.
"Josh Allan is one of those few individuals with that elusive gift as
a musician: the ability to speak to the heart, soul, and human condition
with a lyrical and musical style that breaks through today's often
soulless compositions." - C. J. Armstrong, Filmmaker, Elysian
Pictures, Los Angeles

Media Quotes about
All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink:
"Josh Allan combines
solid pop-sensibilities with lyrical stories, delivering a smart
freshman project and a very promising career." - Byron "Ron" Harrell,
Program Director, ABC
Radio, Detroit
"The mission of the singer-songwriter has always been to convey a story
through mind sketches. Josh Allan not only accepts the challenge, he
embraces it, and brings back a crucial element that seems to have been
missing from other performers lately: he truly feels the story within
the song. Let others produce disposable pablum for the mindless masses;
Josh is a creator of tales that stake out a place in your soul and ask
to be re-told over and over again." - Dom Testa, Morning Show
Personality, Mix 100.3
FM, Denver
"It would be so easy to state the obvious influences in this young man's
music... but go to the introspectively beautiful, and beautifully
picked, 'Vineyard Sky' and you hear older, deeper whispers of James
'Sweet Baby James' Taylor and Kenny Loggins when he was teamed with the
equally gifted Jimmy Messina, or the wonderfully crafted organic pop of
Seals & Crofts... Josh gets it... this debut is a nice way to say hello."
- Chris K., Artist Booking and Promotions,
HapiSkratch
Entertainment, Fort Collins, Colorado
"After reviewing literally thousands of albums by indie artists, the one
thing that really stands out in my mind is that it is a rare bird who
can produce a CD that makes you want to listen to the whole CD again and
again. Get a copy of Josh Allan's CD and drink up. Refreshing. Creative.
Happening. That's All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink." -

Wave
